Canopy's response to COVID-19

In light of the recent events surrounding the spread of COVID-19, I wanted to provide a brief synopsis of Canopy’s operational plan that will enable us to continue to meet the needs of our customers while also placing a high priority on the safety of our employees and community.

Canopy’s daily operations will continue as normal, and as such, our customers and end-users will continue to be able to use our software without any interruption. Customers can still reach our support department with any issues or concerns. Our product development team will also continue to move forward with significant product updates and enhancements as scheduled.

In order to accomplish the above while ensuring the safety for our employees and community, we have enacted the following measures to do our part to combat the effects of COVID-19:

Temporary work from home policy

As the COVID-19 virus tends to spread more readily in larger gatherings, we have put into place an indefinite work from home policy across all departments of our company. We have provided every employee the tools and resources they need to effectively do their jobs at home while protecting their health and that of the community.

Secure cloud hosting

Much like our servers that keep you and your clients’ data safe on the Canopy platform every day, we also take our internal security seriously. Canopy's systems are 0-trust, meaning they accept zero communication with any outside entities or networks—the same security measures which keep your data safe when they work in our corporate headquarters will also follow our employees home.

Tips to help firms work with their clients remotely

Here are some helpful features which will enable you to continue your work while minimizing physical contact with your clients:

If you haven’t already, encourage your clients to visit your client portal and to download the Client Portal mobile app. With the mobile app, clients can scan their forms and documents without having to deliver them to you in person.
